"My favorite poke bowl in boulder, but the last few times I have come during business hours they aren't open. I am actively standing here and there isnt a soul around. I do not live here to just pop in multiple times to see if they are open. But i cant keep going out of my way for them not to be open"
"I was recently at a multi-day conference at the University of Colorado Boulder and I came across Bento-ria nestled over at the Hill in Boulder. What immediately stood out to me was the delectable Japanese cuisine with affordability and a warm, family and student-friendly atmosphere. Conveniently located right next to campus, I decided to give Bento-ria a try after reading and hearing good things about this charming eatery, which is apparently a favorite among locals and students alike. And guess what? It did not disappoint! I ended up eating lunch there three days straight. Bento-ria's menu boasts a delightful array of Japanese dishes, but I always ordered the Miso Soup, Salmon Rolls, and Spicy Buff Rolls. Because it was my first time visiting Colorado and I came at a time when it was super cold, the Miso Soup really helped me out as it warmed my soul. The Spicy Buff Rolls are a spicy seafood lover's dream come true. The melt-in-your-mouth tuna, coupled with a perfect blend of spicy mayo, eel sauce, and crunchy onion flakes, created a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. Equally impressive were the Salmon Rolls, featuring succulent, fresh salmon enveloped in perfectly seasoned rice and nori. Each bite was fantastic, to say the least! Can I just say how I really respect Bento-ria's prices that will not break the bank? The affordability of its menu is particularly noteworthy for students and budget-conscious diners. Generous portion sizes and reasonable prices made it easy for me to indulge in a satisfying meal without sacrificing flavor or quality. However, what truly set Bento-ria apart was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by this family-run establishment. The staff, who are warm and personable, made me feel like I was dining in their own home. The cashier was even kind enough to recommend nice places for me to check out around the Boulder area. Whether you are a regular or a first-time visitor, the staff's genuine enthusiasm and dedication to customer satisfaction made each dining experience memorable. Every time I was there, it seemed Bento-ria was the go-to spot for students seeking a delicious and convenient dining option. The sushi restaurant's location makes it an ideal choice for a quick lunch between classes or a relaxing dinner after a long day of studying. The accessibility of Bento-ria adds an extra layer of appeal, making it a hub for both locals and the academic community. As a local favorite and a haven for students, Bento-ria is a must-visit destination that effortlessly combines quality, affordability, and a welcoming atmosphere. Simply put, if you want the best bang for your buck then Bento-ria is THE place to eat."
"the best sushi you can get for the price in boulder! I always get the spicy combo roll (spicy tuna and spicy salmon - 15 pieces for 11.49). simple but it hits the spot! kind staff and fast service doesn't hurt either."
"Meh. While the prices seem good, the quantity of food you get is pretty small. The poke we got was also very sweet, almost sickly so. The rolls are on par with Safeway at about the same price. The crispy dumplings were pretty good and the overall highlight of our meal. The seating area was filthy, though that is probably not the fault of this specific venue, as several share a common seating area. Because of the quality and quantity of food, I’m not sure we will return here."
"Not a bad place to eat. It was small portioned for the price we paid and the miso soup was a bit watery. There was substantially a lot more rice than poke. The quality was really good though."
