"Clean, beautiful, family-friendly park. There is a volleyball pit, playground, covered picnic tables, and a walking loop. However, there are no public restrooms, so plan accordingly. (There is a Loaf n Jug right down the road if needed.) Mountain Shadows is one of the few parks in town that hasn't been overrun by the homeless. (I tip my hat to you, Democratic city leaders, who managed to allow our parks and playground to be trashed within no time.) We no longer take our kids to America the Beautiful or Acadia Park downtown. But that's only because we don't love it when children play with needles or human feces. Thankfully, there are still some hidden gems where kids are safe and can just play. Mountain Shadows is one of these treasures. Let's keep it this way and report shady activity."
"Omg... This park is so beautiful! It's an amazing park if you go by yourself or with family. There's a huge field for all types of sports, walking your dog, bicycling, all sorts of things. It doesn't get very busy for the number of times that I've been there. It's just a very happy place to be!"
"I'm still disappointed over the redesign of this park. There's no where to park if you have little ones who want to play on the jungle gym. They didn't update the little league fields. They took out the picnic pavilion and seating (and accessible jungle gym) and put in the $$$ memorial. If they had swapped the memorial and kids play area, it would have been so much more enjoyable, useable and accessible."
"Rubber ground, todler swing, and 2-5 yr old playground in addition to a 5-12 yr old play ground. Only 1 pavilion, but almost never busy. Great park!"
"Great park with room to spread out, picnic tables, kids playground, volleyball and horseshoe pit. Lots of dogs. Would be nice if they allowed off the leash but police are routinely called because the neighbors don't like each other. Still nice to visit."
