"I looked at having my pilot transmission serviced or replaced and he said he could not find parts or a transmission anywhere. But that he did find a used one with 40,000 miles on it and he could do all the work for 6K. I declined to do that and he said I should just sell the vehicle. A few days later, I called the Honda dealership and the parts department said they could easily get me a transmission for around 5k at retail. (Auto shops, get them for cheaper.) the parts guy at the dealership then gave me the name of a shop who would put it in for me. I called him and he said he could do everything for 6K. Thus, I think I found a much better mechanic and won't say much else about this shop."
