"We were recently visiting Jasper National Park and unfortunately hit a large black bear on Icefields Parkway in our Tesla Model Y. We contacted Tesla and they gave us a list of approved body shops in Canada that could look at our car. We selected Modern Auto Body Repair in Edmonton. It was a Saturday evening and they were closed but we sent them a message through their website and they responded quickly and explained where to drop our car off when we had it towed there the next day - a Sunday. We were so relieved to get a response on a Saturday night because we didn’t really want to tow our car somewhere without knowing whether or not they would/could work on it. That was the first bit of good news that we really needed. Then on Monday they took a look at our car and were able to do several diagnostics to determine if the car could be patched up enough to safely drive home to Colorado (1,250+ miles) and do the final repairs there. They determined that we could drive it and they patched it together and repaired a few things. They also cleaned it up - removing bear hair and other dirt. They even vacuumed the inside. The car looked great when we picked it up that afternoon -especially considering all it had been through. We were so happy with their work, their attention to detail, their responsiveness, and their overall helpfulness and kindness. We highly recommend them!"
