Jimano's Pizzeria

"I was just in the area one day and Googled "pizza near me" and this place was one of the few that were open, as it was before 11am so I gave it a try. I just happened to go on a Wednesday, and they have "half off pizza Wednesdays" so I would definitely go during a Wednesday if you're unsure whether or not you'll like the place. I had the garlic cheese bread and a deep dish pizza. The garlic cheese bread is ok. It's not bad, but they just put cheese on a slice of bread. My favorite cheesy breads are those made from pizza dough, because they come out a lot fluffier and just taste better in general. The cheese is great but the marinara dipping sauce that comes with it is pretty average. It's not super bad, but nothing about it stood out. There were some larger chunks of tomato in mine so I wouldn't be surprised if it was made in-house. The deep dish was really good. The crust has a nice flavor too; not too powerful (more of a background taste which is how it should be). The crust is nice and fluffy, too. Without trying it back-to-back with Giordano's, I would probably pick Giordano's in a very narrow victory because I have had their deep dish a few times and haven't been disappointed. With the half off Wednesdays deal in mind, however, if it was a Wednesday this place would get my business first."

"Don’t let the reviews fool you, this pizza has absolutely no personality. Thin crust is thick dough with no crunch. Sauce tastes like it came from the jar. Sausage reminds me of Pizza Hut. This pizza clearly has low quality ingredients and an amateur recipe. To top it off the server just warmed it up and didn’t serve it hot. Don’t waste your time and try somewhere else."
