"Dalton and Evan (the drivers for their pick up and delivery) are awesome. Very professional and kind. However, the service coordinator on the phone wasn’t helpful, and never returned my call when I needed help rescheduling."
"Please note: this review is in regard to the SERVICE DEPARTMENT and customer service, not Sales. This dealership is beyond incompetent and is reprehensible on every possible level. I would never, ever recommend dealing with them in any capacity - spend the gas and drive to Farmington or further afield. Our saga with Durango Motor Company’s Toyota department began in early 2023 with a faulty fluid exchange that was performed on one of our Tundras. As assessed by independent mechanics, they overtightened the plug in the rear diff, causing it to catastrophically fail (gushing gear oil) in a very remote part of NM. The end result was a completely trashed rear diff that required replacement. We were eventually able to trailer it to DMC for repair. After delays and so many unanswered phone calls that I was calling Toyota’s actual company customer service reps on a 48hr basis with still no reply from DMC, a new (used) rear diff was installed. As we ended up discovering, during this period (that ended up lasting months) the Tundra was sitting on the DMC lot, completely unlocked. At this point, I went in in person and spoke to staff members that had no record of the initial repair order and claimed no awareness of, at times, daily calls from us and also at least three calls from Toyota itself. After reviewing the repair invoice I noticed that we were being billed for an entire rear axle assembly when it was confirmed that only the diff was replaced, at which point I went out to the truck with a DMC Toyota service representative who confirmed that no, there was no new axle - only the rear diff as previously discussed. Not only does DMC not stand behind their initial failed servicing, but they bill for items that are not installed at all. This company is a complete scam who wishes only to rip you off. At the time we owned seven Toyotas, two of which had been previously purchased from DMC and five of which we had been paying DMC to service. One of these had new struts and shocks installed in early 2023, however DMC mechanics failed to attach the replacement parts correctly to the truck frame, causing the struts to drop into the tires and cause great damage, and could have easily caused an extremely bad wreck had we not noticed the failure. DMC Toyota tried to bill us for all of the damages, but ultimately covered the (large) repair costs and new tires after they were unable to find any other explanation beside their own faulty workmanship. Unfortunately this was not the case with the aforementioned Tundra, and we were stuck paying for repairs and a part that was not ever installed (“We can give you a discount, but can't change the line on the invoice for the axle”). Please, please, never entrust this dealership with your vehicle. It could, at best, cost you thousands of dollars and months without your vehicle. Durango has many better and far more ethical independent mechanics."
"Super happy with the service here. They are always fast, and trustworthy and I appreciate that they don't try to up sell me. This morning when I brought my car in for an oil change, I asked a quick question about a mechanical issue I’ve been having with my gas door anticipating that I’d need to schedule another appointment, but my service advisor, Ben Taylor fixed it in under 3 minutes without a charge. Thank you guys!"
"I was having trouble with the AC in my F250 pickup, it was only working intermittently. Took the truck into DMC where I purchased the truck and who has done all of my repair work previously. They told me the compressor and condenser needed replacing. They did the work to the tune of $3000. Picked the truck up and drove about 20 minutes and the AC quit working. Took it back the next day and they couldn’t get the AC to not work. I drove the truck home and again the AC stopped working before I got home. Took the truck back the next day and again they could never get the AC to not work. Told me they could not diagnose the problem as long as it was working. I had to leave town the next day and when I got into warmer temps, tried to turn the AC on and it wouldn’t work at all. I took the truck into an independent repair shop and they said while they were checking the compressor wiring the compressor engaged. They followed the wires back to the wiring harness and the wires broke loose. Repaired the broken wires and the AC has worked great since. I have to wonder if DMC sold me a compressor and condenser that wasn’t necessary when the problem was simply some loose wires. If the compressor was really out would it work intermittently? I have used DMC since I got the truck in 2017 and feel the service has deteriorated over the last couple of years. Not sure who I will be using in the future but don’t plan to return. Since posting the above review, I was contacted by DMC and they agreed to refund the cost of the AC work they performed. An email I had sent to the Service Manager earlier had not been seen because it went into spam. I appreciate their cooperation and generosity to rectify the situation ."
"I appreciate their system and the fact that often times they can help you even if you don't have an appt. You drive up, the door opens, and someone comes out with a tablet to take your order, haha. Seriously, though, you tell them what's wrong with your car, and they assess whether they have the man power and/or time to do it that day. If they have time that day, there are free refreshments and popcorn in a very spacious waiting area, and with clean restrooms. If not, they set you up with an appt. If they need to keep your car overnight, they have someone take you over to their rental department. Loved the car I drove. I was the second person to drive it, and hated giving it up. They are busy, but always treat everyone with courtesy and they never brush you off. I dealt with Sean and Carl....very nice repair coordinators, and Marlena, very personable lady in the rental department. Very organized auto center."
