"beautiful spot, sick fossils, awesome info-graphic boards. easy trail! looks like they are re-grading areas of trail (adding whet-stone liners, filling with fine gravel tread) & making improvements to exhibit in parking area as well. Worth a quick visit whether you hike around or not! A couple shaded picnic areas atop the hill."
"Beautiful topography, but the inclines & declines may kick your behind & tire you out, & they have the biggest fire ants I've ever seen with a robust population so watch your step. There are orbs at the top of the hill if you're into that. You feel a lot of energy up there. A lot of it is not happy welcoming energy either, so bring extra peace & joy with you when you go. There are next to no amenities & everything is fairly worn down. I'd bring my own snacks & drinks & have those down in the parking lot where there's an easy access trash can. & I personally didn't see any snakes, but it's the type of area that likely has them, so if you have kids or dogs that wander off be mindful that off the path is not where the park has set up for you to go/be."
"Nice hike and beautiful scenery. The paths are still being worked on. You won't find actual dinosaur artifacts here... For that you will have to go the museum"
"Not only an easy trail to gain a view of Fruita and the surrounding BLM and national monument lands, but also a terrific place to watch fireworks on independence day. Easy enough to walk at night. Trails have been redone. Interesting history of the area too, as well. Plenty of wildlife and flowers, at the right time of year."
"Just a hiking Hill. The info siges quite weathered. And the mine tunnel on the south side, looks like it's been collapsed in because you can only see about 20 ft in. By the parking lot area they do have a shaded picnic table."
