"The pool and hot tub area needs a lot of work. The rooms were nice though and breakfast was pretty decent."

"Ive stayed several times at this hotel and they surpass my expectations EVERY time. The rooms are ALWAYS clean never any problems checking in or out. The staff is very accommodating. I wont stay in any other hotel."

"I really like this hotel because you can have a pet in any room of the hotel so if you're booking a hotel online and it says pet friendly you can't normally see a pet room available you just have to book a room and then when you get to the hotel they will put you in a pet friendly room that's if they have one and then they charge you more and most places charge a pet fee to clean the rooms differently... I've had to cancel my reservations and go to another hotel because they had no pet rooms left even though I booked a room but all the pet rooms were booked...there is not even a place to put you have a pet when booking online so how do you guarantee you will have a room there...you don't it all depends on if they still have a pet friendly room...so if you have any kind of pet the La Quinta in Fruita will allow you to be in any room even the ones with the jetted tub in the room... the cleanliness of the rooms sometimes are not real great...especially the bathroom sink around the plug normally looks like the sink is just wiped out not cleaned I've complained about it and since then they seem to be better...I have stayed at this hotel numerous times the front desk people are friendly and are quick to get you something for your room if needed...breakfast is ok... it's just never any different always scrambled eggs and sausage, waffles, cold breakfast, breads and fruits is not bad food just never any different but it is a great place to stay if you have pets and yes they do charge a pet fee $25 per pet but your guaranteed a room unlike other places that are pet friendly..."

"My husband and I decided we wanted to have a staycation for New Year's Eve. We received a call earlier in the day to explain to us that because we are local, they required a $200 cash deposit. I understand their reasoning behind it and went to the ATM. We checked in and then went to dinner and over to a friend's house for a little bit. On arriving back to the room, we filled the jetted tub. The faucet handle was leaking water so we put a washcloth around it. We got in the tub and turned the jets on. Only 4 of the 6 jets were working. When we went to the front, we were told that the only thing we could do was change rooms. Then we were told that locals were no longer allowed to stay here due to people tearing up the rooms. In the second room, not all of the jets worked. Obviously we will not be back."

"On a road trip and stopped to this location for a “pit stop.” The empty parking lot was a dead giveaway and the fact no one was at the counter another. I’ve made plenty of stops to hotels to use the facilities and it’s never been an issue. If anything, the availability and friendliness of the staff imprints on my mind for potential future stays. Suffice to say I’ll sleep in my car and dig a latrine before staying at la Quinta , especially this location."
