"They take 20-25 minutes to blend you a smoothie even with 2 - 3 staff members on hand. Also, the ingredients are usually already chopped up and in a baggie in their fridge. They only have vegan protein. Ingredients are not organic and yet they still charge you like $12 for a smoothie that does not have protein. Protein is an additional charge. Never coming back. To clarify there was 1 customer in front of me. Also, I don’t expect fast food speed service, but the employees move slow every time."
"Their foods are healthy and delicious. Ordered a paleo waffle with a scoop of ice cream. Waffle alone was soft and very satisfying, when it’s paired with ice cream, it’s heaven and make me full all day. The amaretto with peach cobbler is one of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The Apple crisp smoothie bowl is also really good. Nice presentation and tastes good."
"Never been to Des Moines, but this was a super cool stop. DELICIOUS high quality food (had the choco banana smoothie and paleo almond waffle with pina colada topping) with a really chill/cool atmosphere/vibe. Don't come here in a rush, that's not how they operate!"
"Kava DSM is wonderful - the smoothie bowls are delicious and the environment is beautiful. It did take longer than expected to get our food though - there was no one in front of us and it took about 20 minutes before we got them, but I guess that can be understood when you see how beautiful the bowls turned out and the effort and time needed for that."
