"Omg wonderful our tour guide thru the house was amazing. 5.00 to see everything. You have to go. Sorry no pictures of house outside buildings yes"
"We were surprised to discover this amazing place with a museum full of historical artifacts, a mansion of the 19 century and little houses. Volunteers do a great job giving you information about the place and showing around the area. We spent 1,5 hours exploring it and still didn’t get to read about everything. The entrance to the museum is only $5. So much worth it! Recommend to everyone!"
"This place is just the best, so fun and interesting to see all this history. Must check out when in Winterset. And there are free range chickens just running around everywhere."
"We spent over 2 hours walking through the historical museum, home tour and the many small historical buildings full of antiques and period correct artifacts. What a wonderful experience with knowledgeable and helpful guides ready to answer any questions and share interesting information!"
"A wonderful collection. The rock collection is actually of a high class. The buildings and displays are varied and comfortable to pass through. The house has solid walnut trimmings with glass imported from France. One bed covering was tatted by a man recuperating from war wounds."
