"So, first a little backstory: I was running with a small company using the ELD they provided in the truck (Rand McNally) which pretty much sucked most of the time. Long story short, we had a lot of problems with it. So, when I went out on my own authority, I decided to try something else out. I settled on DriveELD because of price and it looked easy to learn. Here's my fleshed-out review after ~2 weeks of use for those of you who care or think you might want to switch from another provider. Let me first say, this thing is way better than Rand McNally from what I've seen so far. I haven't really had a chance to use the IFTA function yet, but it seems like it's recording miles right when I check in on it. I ordered it for $180 (a year), and it's been smooth sailing since. I forgot to switch to off duty once and wanted to make sure I wasn't messing up, so I called their customer support around 9PM Iowa time and they helped me out in like two minutes. I was really impressed. Besides that, it connects automatically every time I get back in the truck, and it's crazy easy to use. Honest to God, I way prefer it to paper logs. I give the app a solid 5/5, it does everything I want it to. My one complaint is that it doesn't go horizontal, but that's really no big deal to me anyways. I haven't had much time to use the back office yet besides adding myself as a driver, but from what I can see, it works great. I don't really need to use it much except for IFTA at the end of the quarter since I'm a solo op, but I can see that it would probably work well for anyone who would use the back office app more than me. One 20 f-eld shutdown their operations after 6-7 months of being in business leaving thousands of drivers without eld service and no back up of any kind. App is really good offering yard move, personal conveyance, dvir, editing.... and most amazing their customer service, they will call you back or respond to your email in timely manner. I would recommend ELD-DRIVE to any company or O/O that are looking for new ELD-solution or if you are not happy with your current provider."

"Had the drive eld app for almost a month. App has not worked correctly for more than a few days. Constant updates, Irregular GPS locations, switches you from off duty to on duty . Constantly re entering my VIN number in the app. Seems like as driver we are the test pilots for all these eld companies to work out the bugs,. Already received a DOT write up due to this eld not working properly, Buying another eld this week hopefully find a replacement that works. Bailey at tech support is helpful but after so many calls and texts the eld needs to perform as described and in my eld and another driver I know we both have a many issues daily"
