Village at Grays Lake

"I'm adding this review again as management keeps removing it. These are dorms priced as luxury apartments. If you live here, expect to know your neighbors on a daily basis: I hear conversations constantly from the hallway, and neighboring units as well as the floor below. I've had police knock on my door regarding domestic disputes that I overheard simply by existing in my unit. I've been cussed out by my neighbor in the hall as she barely controlled her pitbull, and I'm not sure what made her angry in the first place (though you can hear everything, so it could have been any convo or phone call I ever made). There's always someone smoking, which becomes quite noticeable if you're on the top floor. There's a shared balcony with your neighbor, (mine will chainsmoke nearly every hour of every day). He has also knocked on my unit a couple of times to get back into his apartment, as the deck door will lock behind you. I've messaged management about all these issues, and their response has consistently been either to not reply, or after the 2nd message to refer me again to the police. I'm moving as they think a 2bed/2bath in a dormitory where there's very little privacy is worth $1200 a month (up from $1100). Along with my previous comments, there are so many other difficulties that make living here abundantly irritating. Residents have no control over the thermostat, which management decides whether it's air or heat. Management will send fines if you enter the lobby without ensuring the door locks behind you, there's trash always overflowing the dumpster and in the halls, laundry is so expensive I just take it somewhere else, the internet is through Mediacom, groceries have to be carried about a quarter mile from parking lot to unit, packages are often left in the lobby and I've found people flocking around my deliveries, Crow Tow patrols the parking lot, most dogs here are pits and dog waste is left all over the lawn, and I've seen mice during the colder months. I would still choose this apartment over prison, though the gap diminishes every day."

"Moving into The Village has been a smooth and easy process! Zach, the building manager, is quick to answer questions and get things done as you need them. The building is kept clean and accessible. The new renovation is beautiful and welcoming. I've already recommended to my friends and family to check out this apartment!"

If you are someone looking to move close to Downtown but don’t want to deal with all the problems trying to find parking or all the fees for a parking lot I highly recommend Village @ Gray's Lake. Plus, if you have a pet it is pet friendly and the residents are great too."
