Reviews of Aksarben Cinema
"I've been coming to this Aksarben Cinema location for a while now and always have a good experience The staff are helpful, friendly and efficient when it comes to ticketing and concessions I will say there have been a few times where a Showing I purchased Tickets for has been canceled with no explanation, only finding out about it by getting there or finding the doors locked. I think there should be some system of notification (from the ticket provider, theater itself, etc.) when scheduled Showings are canceled, but the staff were more than happy to offer a refund or exchange for a different movie or showtime in these situations."
"one of the few movie theaters in omaha that has a bit of nostalgic early 2000s theater feel (despite not built in that period). the projection can be a bit fuzzy sometimes but not too bad. the bathrooms are clean enough. nothing serious enough to prohibit me from being a regular customer though!"
"Helpful and friendly staff, nice venue, and good popcorn! The building's setting in Aksarben village makes it a little challenging to get to for someone (like my elderly mom) with walking issues, because there's no way to pull up in your car near the entrance ... otherwise I would give Aksarben Cinema 5 stars. We visited last weekend for the first time since before the pandemic, and were glad to discover that they have reserved seating now. Also very much appreciate that they frequently get in films that aren't playing anywhere else in the Omaha area, such as "Maestro" - which we absolutely loved!"
"The establishment was clean. The bathrooms were clean as well. Went with the family to go see The Super Mario Bros. The movie was funny and the family enjoyed it. The popcorn was good. The popcorn chicken and chips were good as well. The Detroit pepperoni pizzas were okay. First time trying the pizzas, but I didn't really care for the sauce being on top."
"Very nice looking theater. The seats were rather comfortable. There were only 4 of us in the entire theater. The movie was crazy loud and I'm not exaggerating. Painfully loud. I've been to countless movies in my life and the volume was insane. I went out to ask the first staff member I saw to see if they could turn the sound down. He said he would tell a manager. Time went by and it didn't sound like the volume was lowered. I called the theater a couple of times. After a few attempts and a whole lot of ring time someone finally answered. I mean the place was dead. It was a ghost town so I wasn't sure why it was so difficult to get in contact with anyone on the phone. Anyway the woman who answered said the volume had already been lowered and didn't really seem to care about our bleeding ear drums. We almost left because it was so loud. We suffered through it and it definitely affected the movie. It was actually a decent looking and comfortable place in a nice location. I'd hate to not go back again but that experience was terrible. So maybe not. I would dread sitting through another movie that loud."
