I think because Advantage is also a check cashing store they are able to offer more money for gold. Not sure, either way I called around and I got the highest quote from Advantage for a necklace (that was supposed to go to my now x-girlfriend). This worked out perfct because I needed to cash a check, too. They were fast and honest. If you need to sell gold, Advantage is the best I found online.
