Sugar Bottom Campground

"Great campground with amazing hosts. We checked in and got to our site, it was very unlevel for a rig our size, 36 ft motorhome. We went to the hosts and told them our issue and they helped us find a site for our stay that would work. We finally got settled in a more level site and had no issue getting settled. The campground is large andis very busy on the weekends but still so quiet. It is a great campground that is close to everything."

"Sweet indeed! We were lucky enough to snag a great campsite w electric right in front of the water. The sites are nicely spaced out, people are really nice, good cell signal, dog friendly, sandy beach, beautiful water, and boat launch. I would have stayed longer if I could have."

"This was an unexpected gem of a COE campground! We weren't expecting a paved, level site! Super clean and well-maintained -- bath house was immaculate. Sure, our site (in the 300's) had only water/electric, but that was good enough for our one-night stay (really want to go back). Dump station available. Lake nearby and a great playground across the street for the kids. The road into the park is a bit twisty and narrow -- just take your time."

"Visiting family from NH and booked site 304 while we were here. The campground is clean and well maintained. We got one of the few full hookup sites, but all the sites are big and level. There is a nice beach, boat launch and plenty of bathrooms. 11 out of 10, would come here again."

"Had a wonderful stay over the 4th of July. Only complaint is that the 110 hookups were not working, but the 30amp was. The bathroom/shower facilities were keep fairly clean, and spacious for a family. Every employee we meet was super friendly and quick to help. The location on the lake is not far from Iowa City and plenty of restaurants even though we stayed at our site. We plan on going back again."
