"Beautifully decorated with period furnishings and decor the owner has lovingly accumulated from antique stores, flea markets and estate sales. Every room has a theme. Love the pansy bathroom with claw foot tub, The rose room, rooster kitchen all amazing."

"If I could give more stars I would. We stayed here on our way to Springfield, we wanted something off the main roads and this was it. It was clean, quiet and just beautiful. The decor was beautiful! Breakfast was delicious, we are still talking about the scones they made! The conversation over Breakfast was nice too! Thank you so much for opening your home to us! ❤️"

"What a fabulous place. Room was terrific and the entire location is beautifully kept and decorated. Steve and Nancy were terrific hosts. Served up an excellent breakfast and chatted with us while we ate. Our only regret is we got in later than we had hoped and only stayed one night. Will definitely visit again and make it a longer visit. I highly recommend the Heavenly Habitat Bed and Breakfast and give it an enthusiastic two thumbs up (way up)."

"Steve and Nancy have created a beautiful haven in Winterset. We stayed in their suite and it was absolutely perfect for us. The attention to detail was totally impressive!! The Suite was comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated and had the most wonderful claw foot bath tub we have ever seen! They also had a huge shower, cozy TV room, snacks, coffee, juice, and hot chocolate for us. The morning breakfast was lovely and delicious. The price was good. While we were there we took the covered bridges tour and we thoroughly enjoyed that. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you!!"

"Beautiful place to stay. Old Lutheran church remodel in local area theme. Stain glass window beautiful at night when lit up. Priced at local motel rates. Breakfast excellent with homemade items. Suite has a bath and shower in different rooms which is great for families. Nice little breakfast nook and living room to chill out and watch TV. Internet connection wonderful. Suite does involve stairs. Would be nice if the 2 bathrooms both included a toilet but not a deal breaker. Just don't let your traveling companions fall asleep in the comfort bathtub. Refrigerator available for keeping meds/insulin. Definitely would stay again. Hosts are very welcoming."
