"If you are thinking about having your loved one rehab here, DON"T do it. Only a few good employees who are wonderful, but in general this is a very bad place. The number one problem is a major staffing shortage. Patients are subject to elder abuse some of which including intimidation, scolding, ignoring them, letting them sit in the bathroom a long time (if they let them go to the bathroom), and physical roughness. My father would have perished there if we did not take him home."

"You all are amazing and wonderful in your jobs. Without you doing your job each and every day so many people would suffer unimaginable pain. You give of yourself freely, with love, and kindness to complete strangers that you will probably never see again, but you do touch each and every patient along with their families. Thank you! "My grandma was there for rehab. It’s not a good place. The staff are lazy. There was one good man who actually seemed like he cared. They would put her on the toilet and leave her there for hours by herself. Staff was rude and not welcoming. The CNA’s were mean to my grandma when she had trouble walking. I wouldn’t put anybody you love here. They mistreat the residents."

"Kind of a mixed bag. Great care as long as Management is in the building, one-star at best when they leave for the day. Lazy, gossiping CNAs who blame the residents for their incompetence, third-shift nurse who berates patients for reporting incompetence, your family member will lay in a soiled brief for HOURS after management leaves. This group’s facilities in Newton and Altoona are even worse. If your family member is bariatric they will be treated horribly after Management leaves for the day. Don’t get me started on the Weekends…."

"My mother-in-law has stayed here twice after hospitalizations. She has received excellent care and rehabilitation. The rehab rooms are private rooms with phones, etc. Her physical, occupational, speech therapy, etc. were very professional and there is a social worker who helped plan her discharge. She made friends with the other patients and enjoyed the socialization very much."
