"I was supposed to see dr. Hohulin today to hopefully get a refill on a prescription that I use every day. It was going to be my first appointment at the Iowa clinic and it took me awhile to find a doctor here since I just moved from out of state. I get to my appointment and am told that they tried to contact me to tell me I needed to reschedule. I wanted to verify they had my correct number because I hadn’t even gotten a voicemail. The older lady there immediately said “we tried to contact you three separate times so…” but as I’m writing this I’ve checked my call log and that’s simply not true. They do have my phone number and I haven’t gotten a single call from them since I scheduled my appointment in December."

"I was seen by Dr. Hogulin when I was sick with a sore throat and mucus and a fever. I went in after 3 days of worsening symptoms. I was told I would be getting nothing as she could give me antibiotics and I’d feel better in a couple days but if it’s a virus I’d feel better in a couple days anyways. I was told to come in again if it hadn’t cleared up. So they wanted me instead of having one $158 bill they wanted me to have two before I got antibiotics. Fast forward two weeks and I’m still sick. Do not go here if you’re sick."

"Dr. Olsen is great. I saw him a few times over my short time in the area and he provided attentive, friendly, and effective care. I would recommend him to anyone in the area."

"Dr. Amspaugh is attentive and caring. I noticed people complained about wait times in some reviews. I've never had that problem. However, the medical field is extremely overworked and short staffed. Make An appointment anywhere, and one should expect you need to have some open time (take off work) for uncertain wait times. If you are looking for a Dr. Who really cares about your health, this is definitely a good office. I've only seen Dr. Olsen once, and he seems very caring too. Many other IA clinic locations want you quick in and quick out, leaving things unresolved and you keep having to come back. Then you can't get in because appointments are booked. Dr. Amspaugh has quickly helped to resolve or "settle" certain medical issues for me because if his knowledge. I am no spring chicken anymore, so it's important to me to have a primary Dr. Who can evaluate and help me plan for handling those conditions. He is doing that. I am very pleased with his office and medical care. They are genuinely good people too."

"I was 10 minutes early to my appointment and ended up not seeing doctor Amspaugh until 50 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. He seemed helpful and pleasant, but shouldn't have to wait that long, or at least should be made aware they are running that far behind. Was just sat on the exam table for 40 or so minutes. Also when calling the front desk with questions on services provided for a potential new appointment, I was greeted with vague answers and indifference. After asking for more information twice from two different people I was told I would be hearing from one of the nurses but never received a call back. Needless to say I won't be trying to schedule another appointment."
