"Park was beautiful and clean. Had a great play space for the kids and wonderful hiking trails for all skill levels. Camping spaces weren't too cramped but weren't huge. Camp hosts were out and active keeping everything clean. A great park for family adventures. Bathrooms were not open yet as it is preseason and water is not on yet. *** Please note that full hookup sewer connection is about a foot out of the ground making it tough for proper drainage for lower campers and motorhomes.***"
"Loved our time at Ledges! Hiking, beautiful scenery, unique rocks, creek walking! We spent most of the day there. Brought picnic food. A lot of the trails were pretty intense inclines for our youngest, but she did it. Some trails were more winding and relaxing."
"So beautiful here. A hidden gem in Iowa. Lost Lake trail will always be one of my favorites. Walking the creek in the beautiful lower ledges is always a memorable afternoon. You are sure to see plenty of wildlife while you are there."
"Ledges is beautiful, well taken care of, and so much fun for kids! Water covered bridges are so fun for the kids to catch a splash as cars drive over and the adults driving seem to get a kick out of it as well! We did have one kid end up with some poison ivy, so as always when out in nature-keep an eye out when in wooded areas. Tons of nice, shaded, clean picnic areas!"
"One of Iowa's iconic state parks in my opinion. Can't be beat in the fall. The creek makes for great fun for kids and adults alike. Standing by it to get splashed while vehicles drive through it is a rite of passage. Plenty of hiking trails to enjoy !"
