"As a brown customer, my experience at the barbershop was mixed. While my assigned barber was friendly, some other barbers lacked consideration. Specifically, when I bent lower to make it easier for them to taper down the neckline, one of the barbers behind me not only commented on my neck position but also made fun of it, as if I were in a doctor's office rather than a barber's chair. It felt inappropriate and unprofessional, detracting from the haircut experience. When my barber asked about my haircut, I told her it looked good. However, another barber rudely chimed in, almost as if they were saying, 'Take this haircut or leave it.' It felt unnecessary, and I wish they had focused on their own work instead of mocking my actions as a brown man trying to get a simple haircut."

I’ve been going to all Supercuts locations around omaha and I’ve had to over describe or ask the person cutting my hair to do something a few times as I have a unique style with lots of layers. They’re just scared that my hair will be too thin, which I appreciate to an extent. However, when I told Suzy what I wanted, she got right to it and didn’t ask twice. My hair is just the way I want it. And when it came to washing my long hair, she made sure to ask before putting in conditioner that smelled like cologne. She was really great.
