"For the past 18+ years, Hand Me Ups has been my favorite thrift store (that doesn't look at all like a thrift store!!). The prices for quality gentle worn clothing, CDs, books and decor is unbeatable. The staff is always wonderfully friendly and helpful. While the outside of the store is unremarkable, he displays are beautiful, giving it more of the ambience of a boutique (I keep looking for a coffee bar!). Finally, the cause they support (Angel Guardians, Inc. who help young people who have Downs Syndrome and other cognitive challenges) is fabulous. Hand Me Ups often provides in-store real world training for Angel Guardians clients, helping them develop marketable skills for employment opportunities. It is somewhat if a challenge to find three first time you go, nestled in behind the i3 Bank, but if you just take the first left turn available after Maple going north on 156th Street you'll easily wind your way back to the parking lot. It is, without doubt, one of the best kept "secrets" in Omaha while I'm just a little hesitant to share, they deserve every bit of business they can generate and you, gentle reader, deserve to treat yourself to this gem."

"Went here randomly and it's the cutest thrift store ever. They had a lot of things from clothes to furniture to home goods. Decorative items and kids stuff. They help with another group for disabled people. That's super kool. The prices are awesome as well. I highly recommend."
