Garbo's - Regency

"I've gone to Garbo's at Regency many times and have had a great experience each time. I called over a week ago to book a blowout for today and switched it over to a haircut. Not a problem. Got a call yesterday saying I got booked with a stylist that wasn't working. Okay... moved by appointment to 3pm, and I let them know I had to be done by 4pm. I was told that I will be done by 4pm. Then I got a call this morning saying my stylist is out sick. And the only appointment was 3:30pm at Midtown. Had to cancel because that no longer worked and ended up going to a different salon that could fit me in better. I will be hesitant to return to Garbo's again in the future."

"I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to try out somewhere new, after my hair girl of 15+ years stopped doing hair. I wanted to get my hair done for my birthday, which we were celebrating that same day. Luckily, I looked in the mirror in the car prior to going anywhere else, because there was hair color all around my face, ears, and neck. The ears and neck are understandable, but the middle of my forehead… that’s pure laziness. I was turned sideways the entire time, so I had not noticed this until I left. My ends were purple when I got there, so we had planned on doing those over to make the purple more vibrant, along with coloring the rest near my natural color. The color matching was terrible. My whole head is a very dark, patchy, brown now— much darker than my natural, and the purple is completely gone. There are sections of hair that have color unevenly applied, so there are pieces that are brown, gray, brown, like the whole piece did not get colored. Not much to say about the cut, it was just ok… probably could’ve gotten similar anywhere else. There was nothing with this experience that makes me want to return. It really makes me even more apprehensive than before to try out another salon."

"I had a massage by Sharon and WOW, she does fabulous work! It was obvious that she had years of experience that made her know the exact right pressure in the exact right locations. The environment was terrific, the table temperature was perfect, the blankets soft, and the ideal spa music. All the details were covered, and I was very happy that I had the luxury of that relaxing hour. Thanks Sharon!"
