"Did the chef’s table tasting menu. It was incredible really different Indian food than anything I’ve ever had before. Chef clearly made all the dishes with a lot of love, many of his childhood favorites. Portions were HUGE so bring your appetite and prepare to have a delicious leftover lunch the next couple days. Would 100% recommend. We also had fun meeting other foodies from Omaha and had great conversation!"
"Kinaara is by far the best restaurant that I’ve ever been to. I'm very picky when it comes to food, but I can confidently say that I was more than impressed by the service. I was extremely satisfied with the experience that I had while eating there. Unlike any other restaurant that I have been to, this place made sure that our party was taken care of. Ashish and Kimberly, who are the owners, made the experience feel very warm and welcoming. Alyssa, who was my server, was very attentive and kind. She made sure that we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a modest 5-star restaurant with an amazing staff that also focuses on the quality of food, then this is the place. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s not only looking for quality food but also to anyone who doesn’t want to spend an arm and a leg for an overall great experience."
"This place was quite busy on a Saturday at 5:30. We didn't have reservations and sat at the bar as it was otherwise full. The staff was very prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. The drinks (Tamarind Whiskey Sour and Dirty Martini) were very good. We definitely plan on getting the Masala Fries as an appetizer again when we go back. The Goat Tikka Masala was creamy and near perfect. The Fish Pollichathu (pictures wrapped in the banana leaf and with the leaf opened) was moist and flavorful with just the right level of spice. We can't wait to go back but we may end up just getting the same things again as they were so good. Update January 2024: We've been back several times since the original review and still unbelievably awesome food. The Masala Fries are still our go-to for appetizers. My new favorite may be the butter chicken which needs only be described as "heaven in a bowl". The Malai Koftha was scrumptious and rich. Finally, if you remotely like lamb, the Tandoori Lamb Chop (Halal) is out of this world. It takes about 25 minutes which we were told about. It does not have the strong lamb taste at all but instead the blend of flavors is a truly divine way of experiencing lamb. We ordered out medium-rare and it was perfectly moist and tender."
"Kinaara is a must visit for Indian food in Omaha! They serve authentic kerala cuisine which is very rare in the entire states, Wagyu Beef coconut fry is a must try! The owner Ashish and the staff, is very friendly and offers exceptional service. The kerala porotta is the best bread I have ever had in my life, try it you won't be disappointed."
"My fiancé and I came here this past Friday night. When we arrived there was plenty of parking and it was easy to get to. The host (Nikita) was very friendly and instantly made us feel welcomed despite us not having a reservation of any sort. We were quickly seated, and Paris was prompt to our table. He was bright, polite, and welcoming. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered all the questions we had. We got the stuffed cheese naan, medium channa masala, chicken biriyana (for my fiancé) l, and extra spicy lamb curry (for myself). The appetizers came out quickly and tasted fantastic. Our entrees were out shortly there after and were equally pleasant. I was impressed with the heat level of my curry. More often than not, food isn't on par with what is actually spicy. Left a good mouth heat without being overwhelming or to the point of making me sweat. All in all, 5 out of 5. Great service, great food, and great atmosphere. Clean restaurant all the way down to the bathrooms. Would recommend it and will be back!"
