"First time visiting Iowa. Wilson's is a lovely place to have lunch and sit and chat with friends. The service was great and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy; super flavorful with a little bit of spice. The potatoes were nice and crunchy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. Can't wait to go back!"
"Our experience at Wilson's Ciderhouse was truly top-notch, making it one of the best dining experiences I've had in Iowa. The atmosphere was quiet and delightful, setting the perfect mood for a romantic date night. Exceptional Service: A big shoutout to our server, Rachel, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond with her recommendations, guiding us through the menu and suggesting delicious options based on our preferences. Her attentiveness throughout the evening was greatly appreciated. Delicious Food & Drinks: We opted for the cider flight, and it was a revelation! Each cider was complex and bursting with flavor, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. Our main courses were equally impressive. The Braised Lamb Shoulder was a standout - incredibly tender and flavorful, accompanied by perfectly braised collards that offered a touch of bitterness and the delightful zing of ginger-spiced cashews. The Roasted Great Lakes Walleye was cooked to perfection, with delicate yet rich flavor. Highly Recommended: Overall, Wilson's Ciderhouse exceeded our expectations on every level. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food and drinks, and a charming atmosphere made for an unforgettable evening. We highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience."
"Beautiful location in the midst of nature combined with a unique, high class menu makes a visit here very special. Vegan and gluten free options. Highly recommend!! The self bruwed ciders are amazing!"
"Delicious food. Fast friendly service. NIce selection of drinks. Many uniquely prepared options. I had the "Local Veg Toast" and was pleasantly surprised to get a generous portion of arugula with delicious dressing included with the fresh bread toasted and a perfectly poached egg on top. Also ordered at our table and shared was the "Fried Tofu Sandwich" —really great breading used to fry the tofu to perfection. Would make a nice appetizer to share. Our friends ordered the Belgian Waffle which was topped with candied nuts and fresh fruit. Delicious. Would be a perfect desert shared with four people. The other item ordered was the "Breakfast Sandwich" but requested without the bread for a perfectly delicious low-carb option. The scrambled cheesy eggs were fluffy and tasty. They should teach culinary courses. Very innovative. The solid wood beams and high ceiling create a nice space with many windows to see the rolling hills and trees surrounding the area. It's centrally located and a short enjoyable scenic drive for most people in the area."
"This place has a great potential to be an even better spot, it has a nice view of the orchard, good presentation of the food, good atmosphere and attentive service. But the price you pay is not worth the presentation of the food. The skirt steak I ordered did not have any flavor, it was barely lukewarm, as if it was sitting out for a bit. The Peruvian style chicken thighs were okay, the only thing you can really taste was the sauce, more curry style than Peruvian. We also had the calamari appetizer, though it was tender, it was soggy and very salty. I did enjoy the atmosphere and the view of the orchard."
