"Pros: Did not feel rushed, appreciated Dr. Thomas energy and passion for his work Cons: Dr. Thomas did not explain first why he wanted to do things, so at several points I was uncomfortable - getting photos taken when I wasn't sure why they were needed, having different items placed in my mouth with no explanation first (I was just there for a cosmetic consultation). I also had to state several times that I didn't want to see what I felt were stomach-turning "before" photos of patients with serious dental issues so he could then show me the after photos. Overall, I felt like Dr. Thomas had a hard time listening to me and respecting my perspective - including that I didn't feel my teeth needed to be whitened or appreciate being told I had a "gummy smile." That said, I think Dr. Thomas does important work and is clearly skilled at his trade. I'm hoping this post can highlight some areas that need improvement in his interpersonal skills."

"Truly awful! I had my appointment there the lady yelled my personal information in the shoebox of an office. When I asked her not to she raised her voice at me so I left. I go to take my kids they pretend they sent me a letter to cancel my appointment like a phone call wasn’t necessary and literally pretended they were closed until a vendor showed up that they needed something from! if I could give them zero stars I would! This was only a week apart. I didn’t cancel my kids appointment because I took a month and a half to get them appointment they needed them for school"

My dental care since first going to the Iowa Center For Family and Cosmetic Dentistry over 5 years ago is unmatched by any other practice I've been to in 50+ years! It doesn't hurt that I laugh at every visit - Dr. Thomas has an awesome sense of humor!"

"I've been going to Dr. Thomas for almost 10 years now and wouldn't go to anyone else. My son loves the toy selection after he's done with his cleanings. When I had my wisdom teeth removed he even called me later that evening and the next day (which was a Saturday!!) to check in and see how I was doing. He genuinely cares. "Dr. T is an amazing dentist who always makes me feel comfortable and at ease during appointments! I have been going to Iowa Center For Cosmetic Surgery for many years and have always been treated well from walking through the door and being greeted with a big hello and smile from Diane to the cleanings, X-rays and exam by Amanda the best hygienist in the world to the final exam by Doc. He genuinely cares for his patients and explains every procedure thoroughly while drawing a sketch. The office is professional and clean with a tv at every chair - I actually look forward to my checkups to catch up with these three! He has always been available whenever I have had an emergency, just a phone call away.I strongly recommend the practice for anyone seeking a premier practice of experienced professionals!
