Reviews
"I was a patient of Dr. Hurd's so this review is more so towards him and a hopeful message that the new guy doesn't do what he did (or didn't do, rather). I had to have a significant amount of orthodontic work done, so perhaps my circumstances were, in part, unavoidable. But as my new dentist told me, if someone had informed me years ago about this, then I wouldn't have been in the predicament I am in today (so part of the blame falls on the previous dentist as well). My new dentist told me that I have significant root loss in my front teeth. An otherwise healthy mouth on a healthy person are all signs pointing to orthodontic work as the culprit. I had successfully convinced myself that the thought/feeling of my teeth being loose was all in my head so my shock and heartache combined with the dentist's shock that no one told me, was palpable. Why didn't Dr. Hurd inform me of this risk? Or if there was anything that could have been done to avoid being where I am today; in my 30s and facing almost certain tooth loss? For someone with not the best bedside manner, he sure wasn't forthcoming about potential consequences of his work. A legacy that outlives the product of his work isn't much of a legacy, at any rate, he can have my teeth as a retirement gift when they fall out."
