Más Margaritas

"Trending downward, will probably avoid until I hear otherwise. Mas has always had issues with speed of service. They have historically been very busy which likely contributes to that. Typically the food has been good. My visit today was probably the worst Mexican food I've had in Cedar Rapids lately. I placed a to-go order and was told 15-20 minutes. I get there 15 minutes later and wait about 15 more minutes until my food shows up in its large brown bag. I get home with it, unpack it, and realize my order is incomplete; they're missing my $7 queso. I go back to the store to get it. In front of me is a large party here to be seated for their reservation. They're told the information was taken incorrectly and it'll be around 45 minutes until they can be seated. They are obviously upset and choose to leave. I get my queso which seems quite small for $7 (pictured with this review). I take it home and see my wife has already discarded most of her order. The rice was dry and crunchy, the beans were the consistency of old joint compound from the tub. Her quesadilla was wet and soggy. I start getting my food and see they've changed the chips. They used to seem made in house but now they're those stale ones from a bag with the little black dots on them. You can see the difference in the reviews from now and six months ago. The queso was edible but a poor value for the quality. Too many misses with too many other options in town."

"When you see the dishes being served, it gets you excited to see the menu. It's got all the favorites if you love authentic Mexican food. The menu is sizable in its offerings. We were sat pretty fast. The locals know this is good, as it was almost packed at 5:00. Our drinks came, and the margaritas were flavorful and tasty. Their selection was one of the largest that I've ever seen in all my travels. The food portions were generous; starting with the freshly made tortilla chips and salsa. Followed by the entrees. This is where the food outshines the drinks, in my opinion. Everything was properly seasoned and made. My Rojas Enchiladas were just like the ones I had when I was in Mexico; the Fajitas were on point as well. This is the perfect place to eat and enjoy company. The service was equally good as well. Fast and attentive to what we wanted. Even when they had a line waiting to the opportunity to eat or drink. They take a unified service ideal. Not just whose section. Which made for a better experience. The atmosphere is very nice. They take pride in what they're doing, and it shows. The staff and the layout support large groups as well as couples. Whether you're having drinks, or dinner, or celebrating a special occasion. They really put forth the effort."

"My mom and I ate at más margaritas for the first time today (for lunch) and I had the fajitas Mexico Lindo (Steak, Chicken, Shrimp and Chorizo) combination. It came with fresh refried beans (not canned), fresh pico de gallo, sour cream, guacomole, and rice. It was sooo good! The fajitas were amazing! Loved the fresh homemade corn tortillas. Our waitress was very attentive, had a positive attitude, and was good checking on us. I will definitely be coming back! Cant wait to try the margaritas next time."

"I really like this place. Shrimp fajitas and pineapple chicken is very good. We got refills so fast it was great service! Nicely remodeled and cool decorations. Bathrooms good and clean. We will be back!"
