"The service was very poor the thin waitress really struggled to write down our order and when she delivered the food it was not what we ordered. When we told her that it wasn’t what we ordered she would not accept that she made a mistake.Where we made our mistake we tried to eat it instead of making a fuss and sending it back. It was some “Bob’s” special that was not good, so we weren’t able to eat it. To top it off the special was a lot higher price and no apology."

"I love small town diners with endless diner coffee. Small town values like quality food, sizable portions, and fair prices can be found here. It’s so refreshing to see small drown America hasn’t jumped on the price-gouging greed train. This place is a gem inside an old hotel with lovely staff and delicious food. I’ll be back for sure!"

"I went with a friend while visiting Atlantic. She indicated it as her favorite place to eat and I can definitely see why. The selection was great and the ambience was awesome. Wait staff was attentive, the food was great and out quickly....and what I liked the most was this HUGE piece of sour cream raisin pie that I ordered that tasted just like my Mom used to make for special occasions."

"I go to the Downtowner for breakfast and the waitresses are very kind and respectful, they don’t let your coffee cup get empty, which I appreciate. The breakfast that I get is always good. They make sure their customers are taken care of. Definitely recommend."
