Little Washoe Lake Park

"I had to share these amazing photographs of Washoe Lake, Nevada. Halfway between Reno and Carson City. The lake sits at the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Including "Slide Mountain", a popular ski resort adjoining Mt. Rose Ski resort. You can ski both sides of the mountain, plus, it's only 40 minutes from Reno."

"Nice little park. Lots of water in the lake. Park staff is clearing out the boat ramp and stairs."

"Little Washoe lake trail is a flat single track trial that ultimately follows the shoreline. The Carson range provides a good backdrop. There are a lot of tables to have a picnic. Great place to go birdwatching. I was surprised to see birds on the water and ice in mid December."

"Pretty nice spot, to get out and let the kids stretch their legs. Very beautiful we even saw a wolf or coyote, on the other side we had a chance to see the wild horses, my kids enjoyed feeding them oranges and apples"

"Not a bad little spot. There’s limited camping options but you can do some fishing. Horse friendly & a small trail next to the lake. I upload a time lapse video of it."
