"Initial Appeal: Dave's charm and salesmanship were undeniable. He convinced me that Torchlight could easily navigate the S Corp election and tax filing hurdles for my company. Positive Start: I appreciated Torchlight's assistance in electing S Corp status and filing our taxes in February 2023. Unfulfilled Promises: Unfortunately, issues with the tax filing emerged. Despite Dave's initial confidence, Torchlight has failed to secure meaningful updates from the IRS or the promised $15,000 refund. As of today, it's been nearly a year since the initial filing. Broken Trust: Dave and his team haven't kept me adequately informed, leaving me to waste considerable time and energy digging for answers and updates. Hiring Torchlight was supposed to alleviate IRS stress, but the experience has had the opposite effect. Communication Woes: My review reflects Torchlight's glaring inadequacy in communication and follow-through. As the client, I deserve timely updates, proactive problem-solving, and not be left chasing my own refund. Consider Carefully: While Dave's charisma won me over initially, Torchlight's inability to handle challenges and maintain communication erodes trust and confidence. Before partnering with Torchlight, consider whether their charm outweighs the potential for unmet promises and frustrating communication breakdowns. I will need to hire a different tax professional to address Torchlight's work. Update (1/31/24): Hi Dave, thanks for responding. Expressing my dissatisfaction through a review was a last resort and I do not get pleasure from it. Throughout 2023, despite repeated assurances from Torchlight that the issue would be resolved in the near future, still no refund. As soon as the refund is received, I look forward to updating or deleting this review."

"I have been frustrated with my tax accountants for the past 10 years. I lost a lot of money trusting on their "expertise". Therefore, when I met the the team it was a refreshing pleasure to start the tax process. They held my hand and responded immediately to all my needs. Being with 2 hours difference is a challenge but we learned to work it out because I realized they were there to help me.
