"Best pool service. James is honest and upfront. When we first got our house and were shopping for a pool service James came over and evaluated our setup. He was frank about the age of our existing equipment. He was not wrong and in time we had to replace our equipment as it was almost 20 years old. James was very responsive and got each thing replaced quickly at a fair price. He only charged his cost for the equipment and labor and was very quick. His rates are fair even with the increasing cost of chlorine for monthly service and the pool always looks great. When the windy days hit he and his team put in the extra effort to get the pool looking good. Best part for us was he did not require a contract. He believed if he wasn’t doing good we should be able to move on to some one else. We have had him servicing our pool for over three years now. James is also very responsive when communicating usually getting back to me in 2.0 minutes or less. Highly recommend."

"I've experienced excellent service, when I have a problem their response time call back is within a hour or 2. I would recommend Dow Pool and Spa to my friends."
"I contacted James Dow in December 2018 after someone recommended him to me. He took over my rental property pool at that time. At first I was quite pleased with the service. I liked the fact that they sent pictures of the pool weekly and emailed them to me but then on April 1st, 2019 I received the weekly pictures and the pool was turning green. One would think that if the pool were having issues that the pool company would contact you instead of sending pictures and me having to contact them. When I reached out to James he responded that the cleaner had a rock in it and was not circulating. He said he shocked the pool and recommended a "6 month algae treatment" for 99.99. I approved the treatment over the phone. On April 15th my tenant contacted me and said the pool was still green. I texted James and asked if he had done the treatment and he said he hadn't because he did not hear from me (aggravating) so I asked him again to do it. During this time, I was showing the home to prospective renters, and the new tenants selected owned a pool company, so they were to take over the pool service on May 12th. I notified James and asked him to keep doing the service for 2 weeks in May. He billed me for the algae treatment and 1 week in May for which I prepaid. James failed to do the May 6th service and I was notified by the tenants that the pool was green yet again. I reached out to James and he said that he thought the service performed on April 29th was the May service he was supposed to do (????) and said he would send someone to shock the pool. He told me that someone was there on May 10th and they shocked and scrubbed really well. My new tenants showed up on May 11th to a green pool and a completely impacted basket which had stopped all circulation to the pool. I then had to completely drain the pool, chlorine wash and add new chemicals that cost a few hundred dollars. I requested a refund for the 6 month algae treatment (that lasted less than a month) from James and he refused saying "that he was not responsible for what happened to my pool after we left". All of the issues happened to my pool during their service period. I will now be pursuing damages in small claims court. I wish I could post the pictures of my pool so you could see Dow Pools business practices."
