"This company is completely incompetent. Seriously, find another title company, assuming you have the option... Ashley Wickard was our escrow officer. Short version: Chicago Title made multiple critical (and easily avoidable) errors that cost us money and delayed the closing on our house. Long version: My wife and I live in CA, and just bought a home in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, Chicago Title was the title company we had to work with during this process. Chicago Title somehow excluded an entire critical document when they sent everything to the notary that we signed with (remotely, from CA), and didn't realize it until the day of closing. We couldn't close without it. Fortunately, my wife and I were in Las Vegas on the day of closing (we were there because we were planning to gain access to the house as official owners together), so we were able to drive over and sign the forgotten document within 30 minutes of them notifying us of the error. We knew their error delayed the process, but they assured us that everything would still be completed that day, and we would officially own the property "within a few hours" (it was about noon when they realized their mistake and called us about it, so about 12:30pm when we signed the document). My wife and I (and our agent) waited until about 6:00pm that evening for Chicago Title (Ashley, or her team) to notify us that the recording was complete, but finally gave up when our agent didn't receive any response at all from Chicago Title (after our agent and his assistant reached out to them multiple times for updates). Our agent had to get home to his family, and my wife had to head back to CA (I stayed in Las Vegas to oversee the flooring and painting jobs we wanted completed before we moved in). Well, it turns out that everything actually DID record with the county at 5:15pm, but they didn't let our agent know this (for some reason) until about 10:00pm. Our agent had already returned home to his family, and my wife had already driven back to CA. We ended up having to postpone our flooring job an entire day as a result, which cost us money. Plus (and I realize this is mostly symbolic and may sound cheesy to some of you), my wife and I missed our opportunity to walk into our new home together as official owners. In short, you are much better off using another title company to avoid this type of situation. We paid them a lot of money to do a relatively simple job, and they failed us."

"Really nice people in the beginning. They answer their calls right away, return calls when they say they will...until something happens. Then they go TOTALLY DARK on you. Suddenly the phone doesn't get picked up, messages don't get returned until the deal goes sideways because they didn't have a bit of information BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T ANSWER THEIR CALLS! Just as suddenly, your phone lights up and they're full of apologies, but it's too late!!!!! I trusted them and it cost me. Never Again! I have dealt with other Chicago Title franchises and have been quite pleased. Not Las Vegas!"
