"Terrible service. Ano Appliances was sent by American Home Shield. We were first scheduled for January 27, 2024 but on that day they called to reschedule because repair person had a medical emergency. I can't remember the exact date of the new time was about two weeks later. I contacted AHS for another service provider. I guess AHS followed up and ANO called and sent someone on January 29. That person said that he needed to order parts and it would take about two weeks. On Feb 9, I called ANO to follow up and was told that one part came in and she would find out about the other part. Today, Feb 14, 2024, I left a voice mail message with ANO to follow up on the 2nd part. Then I contacted AHS using their chat line. That person check with ANO and said that today, Feb.14, 2024, ANO ordered the 2nd part! Terrible service. If you use AHS and they refer ANO Appliance, please request another service provider. If i could, I would give them no stars!"
"Disclaimer: **Before calling a technician, I defrosted our fridge and cleaned/vacuumed the vents/coils. These were the directions from the manufacturer that we found in the user's manual. We also called a professional friend who instructed us to do the same. Unprofessional, unapologetic, and unresponsive. Since it was the holiday season I knew I wouldn't get eyes on our claim immediately. To speed things up, I started to eliminate the obvious issues by defrosting it, cleaning all of the visible vents, etc. On their first visit, we were greeted by an unfriendly, non-English-speaking technician. I informed him that I had already defrosted it for 72 hours. He barely glanced at my explanation and continued his "diagnosis" by opening the doors and getting a temperature reading. I assumed he would at least pull the refrigerator out to check the freon levels or for any visible damage, but nothing. After a quick 5-minute look, he told us to de-frost our appliance for another 72 hours and to call back for ANOTHER appointment if it still wasn't functioning properly. So we called in after 72 hours, only to be told by Ano Appliance that the next available appointment would be in early January. Luckily, another technician was able to visit us on Dec. 28 to finally confirm that our fridge needed a new compressor. Since Dec. 28th, we've heard nothing. When we contacted AHS for a status update, we discovered Ano Appliance hadn't submitted any updates about our claim. We've called Ano Appliance over 10 times, to request them to just cancel our claim so we can move on with another company. It's now Jan. 10, 2024, and we still have a broken fridge."
"Can you give 0 stars? No?... They deserve it. Worst company ever. The woman answering the phones hung up on me because I was asking questions politely and disagreeing with her, respectfully. Horrible customer service, so hard to get ahold of, lack of English for technicians, corrupt company who is working hand in hand with insurance company. If they assign you, request someone else!"
"PLEASE DON'T EVER USE THESE PEOPLE. American Home Shield send them over to check our dryer which was squeeking while it worked. The guy they sent (who didn't speak English) apparently broke things even more (left the broken parts in our dryer) and even broke our washing machine which was fine. Then, after over a week of avoiding American Home Shield or putting in the ticket, he told them that we were abusing the equipment so that it wouldn't get covered. We had to argue for a new person from another company to come out, who found the left over damaged pieces and told us horror stories about this guy being sent out. If your home insurance tries to use them on a call, please do your due diligence first. I would highly suggest you request another company rather than let these people do more damage."
"Came to diagnose my fridge - something was obviously broken because it was leaking water everywhere. He leaves and doesn't mention that i should turn it off and leave the door open. Of course, it develops mold/mildew. I clean it, no big deal. He sets a date/time to repair (between 3-5 on Monday). Calls me at 4:55 and says he'll be there in 30 minutes. I tell him that's unacceptable. Ano secretary calls and wants to argue with me stating that i should not have cancelled and that he would have been there on time. I tell her that per the technician, he claimed he was running late. She continued to argue stating that he WAS ON TIME. I told her have her boss call me as she was extremely unprofessional. Boss calls me and sets a time for him (4pm). Technician shows up at 3:55. Now that that's all done (7/18/23), on October 7, 2023, same problem, again. I call, call, and call, no one answers. Last call to Ano was on 10/06/23...message left and STILL no return call. Decide to call American Home Shield...they want me to pay the deductible just to talk to someone. No thanks...lesson learned."
