"They US Post Office laid off 50,000 workers including the one person who ran my post office. At the same time, they broke laws to suddenly close our rural post office. The only way to get my mail was to take time off work to drive 20 miles to another post office that closes at 3 pm and request my mail over the counter. I had to get all my mail forwarded to a friend's post office box in yet another town so I could have access to my mail. This has cost me a great deal of time and money. It's a crime that government no longer supports mail delivery and post."
"Another community cut off…unless you drive and pay for gas to reach the next USPS office. No more daily service, Rx prescriptions for senior citizens, no more US Passport services (important for inter-island travel next year), etc etc. A national shame they cannot find (or care to find) a new station operator or a self service technology;…we can send spaceship to Pluto but not buy a stamp locally…"
"Always helpful and no matter what or how complicated package i had to send out, it was and with a smile! We need these small, rural community post offices more than ever. Especially when larger corporate delivery services refuse to ship to Hawaii and if they do it’s at a much higher cost. With this current administration refusing to help the most needed and used federal public service. Shipping in & out of Hawaii world cost way more than a50 cent stamp."
"This small building makes do for the community of O'Okola postal service."
