"Let me get this straight…light rail that is supposed to alleviate traffic doesn’t start running until 8 am (nearly an hour after most traffic ha built up and most people are at work already) and then stops before most people get off work? And they can’t figure out why no one uses the sky rail? I mean, your hours don’t help ANYONE get to work!"
"Valid concerns about cost/length it took to build. 20 years to build a 20 mile system is way too long. Putting that aside, i did not think the train was overly bumpy, compared to similar systems around the world. Going westbound didn't seem as smooth, than going townbound for some reason. Trains were clean, on-time, & the views are great. Stations could use some tlc, to make it a more welcoming place, but the overhead roof was a good investment to protect riders from the very hot Hawaiian sun."
"I live in aiea and the rail started June 30 and all I have to say is that this rail is a blessing the roads aren't the same there is way less cars on the road and I walk Kam hwy everyday with my dogs and the difference feels very good and ultimately very much safer...mahalo ke akua and thank u Oahu county."
"How disappointing to ride! Obsolete trains, bumpy ride and the cost... It's nauseating for the people of Hawaii to see such a waste of our limited resources. I'm not opposed of light rail but this system is totally unnecessary. We deserve much better!"
"I think this will be a great thing when done and connected to Maui, Big isle and Kauai….till then..it’s typical Hawaii …way little & not much or as of now not even taking passengers…I’d love some of the hundreds of thousands of dollars wasted between now & when completed though..which should happen by 2123 so almost a hundred years yea it will be great!! Be happy you live Hawaii cuz traffic and typical Hawaii are awful huge aspects of it."
