"The Sunset & Star Gazing tour was amazing! Our guide, John, was knowledgeable, kind, and approachable. He took good care of the whole group during the trip from start to finish. The snacks were local Hawaiian brands and the parkas were clean and warm. The tour bus was also comfortable and roomy. Besides the amazing sunset views, star gazing with the telescope was so interesting and thorough. We really enjoyed our trip, highly recommend booking this tour."

"Do it! Book through Taikobo Hawaii. A lot of unfortunate events with our airlines caused us to miss our tour departure date. We communicated the morning-of and they were so accommodating and moved our tour to the next day. Our tour guide was Shin and he. was. AWESOME! I felt safe going up a mountain that steep, winding and unpaved in places. He knew and shared a lot of facts about the island, the mountain, and Hawaii. Star gazing was his jam. He was very passionate about stargazing and teaching us about stars. We didn’t have the clearest night to observe in the dark, but Shin made a great effort in showing us the planets and stars when the clouds would part."

John was an incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional guide. "This Sunset/Star-gazing Mauna Kea tour was an amazing experience. The company gave clear instructions and the guide was friendly, informative, and accommodating. The star gazing portion lasted longer than any of the other companies that were doing tours in the same place, so I think we got the best deal. I would recommend this tour to my family and friends. Our guide, Shin, also spoke Japanese and was accommodating to the Japanese guests, but was clear to communicate to everyone when he would be switching back and forth in languages which i thought was very considerate.
