"This is my first time riding a horse (besides riding a pony in a circle as a kid). I was anxious of course not knowing if I would be able to hold myself up or be comfortable on a saddle. Not a problem. My problem was smiling too much because it was so much fun. We all traveled slowly around Waipio Valley looking at the ocean foliage. We say many Guava Banana and Guava cherry trees which we all pick at and ate. All the horses were tamed and very relaxing. Nothing to worry about. The guide was very informative, pretty and gave us lots of history. Highly Recommended!"
"Great ride on their ranch. Beautiful and peaceful. Staff was very pleasant and horses well trained. Thank you for making this trip memorable. Would recommend. Aloha"
"I recently experienced the most incredible horse ride tour, and I can't praise it enough! The majestic landscapes combined with well-trained and friendly horses made the journey truly unforgettable. The guides were knowledgeable, ensuring both safety and an informative adventure. From trotting through scenic trails to cantering along open fields, every moment was a delight. If you're seeking a magical connection with nature on horseback, this tour is an absolute must on Big Island!"
"This is the best trail ride I’ve ever done. Friendly horses, excellent guide who knew everything about the farm, the orchards, and the history of the ranch. She even picked fruit straight off the trees as we were riding, so we could taste (and share with our horses, who seem to love bananas best of all). Great views and scenery, saw some wild horses, turkeys, cows, goats, ducks, fish, and every conceivable type of fruit. We got fresh fruit snacks at the end, plus raw macadamia nuts & local honey. Really an excellent experience."
"As someone who has spent a lot of time on trail rides, I really enjoyed this ride and was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Cecil was very patient, kind, and so knowledgeable about the area. You can tell the passion he has for the land, horses, and his family with the way he talks about the land and his future plans for the area. Cecil takes the horses on a different path each ride instead of doing the same path repeatedly so the horses don’t get bored and have more fun. Even though Wapi’o Valley isn’t open, the area the tour currently runs through is still gorgeous with plenty of wildlife and plants. My 7 year old went on the ride and it was her first time in-saddle. One of the guides walked/lead her horse until she felt comfortable enough to ride solo. I am thankful for that because once she realized she was fine, she did fine riding solo and has not stopped asking to go riding since. The horses were all even-tempered and no issues. The area was beautiful. We got to see baby calves, wild foals (with the mares and cows), and some wild turkeys. I highly recommend doing this if you are on the big island. It’s worth the drive from wherever you are. Whether you are a brand new or experienced, this is a lot of fun."
