Shaka Kayaks

"This morning I had a wonderful experience kayaking with Scott and Sabrina. We were on an eco-kayaking tour on the North Shore of Oahu. We saw huge turtles as we maneuvered around the waves with Scott and Sabrina guiding us to where the turtles seemed to be likely to swim. Scott had wonderful information about the turtles as well as interesting stories about the North Shore. We booked our tour at the Turtle Bay Resort and it was the highlight of our vacation. While I had been tempted to bring my camera, on the advice of the your guides,i left it on the shore. Scott took lots of great photos so we have lasting memories pf our kayaking adventure!"

"This is a bucket list item for sure! Capt. Scott picked us up at the hotel and gave us an informational short ride to the launch location. Mike and Samantha took great care of us from the start. There were so many turtles! We gently paddled out to several spots where turtles hang out. Learning about the turtles and the local history was awesome. The bay is protected by a reef so there are no waves to worry about and sharks can't get in which is always reassuring. What a peaceful way to spend your morning."

"Just went on this tour while staying at Turtle Bay. What an awesome way to start the day! Door-to-door service from the front desk, and they really thought of everything (there’s even a hose-down stop on the way back). The emphasis of this tour is definitely on turtle-spotting (we saw many!) and not on kayaking, but I found there was just enough paddling involved to feel like I earned my breakfast ;) The guides were super patient, knowledgeable, engaged and informative. The bay is just stunning and very secluded. I would definitely do this tour again! P.S. they’re very good with minding the time - I managed to squeeze this in on my last day and I was back at the resort in time to check out and catch my next flight!"

"Absolutely amazing experience to see the turtles without all the hassle down near Honolulu. The turtles here are not scared of the kayaks (which cannot be said for all the snorkelers). The guide counted 22 turtles on our adventure, but I am pretty sure I saw a handful more that she did t even count. I expected to see one or two turtles but we saw soooooo many. One even came up for air right in front of our kayak (inches from my face). Mahalo to Scott and his amazing team. Definitely something we will do again when we come back!"

"Absolutely wonderful experience. Our guides Mike and Scott were phenomenal, providing a perfect mix of information and humor. We saw about 20 sea turtles during our tour. Mike was kind enough to take and send along a number of great pictures from our visit which was an unexpected and much appreciated bonus. I can not recommend Shaka Kayaks highly enough. A+++"
