Hike Kauai

"My husband and I had the most wonderful half day hike with Tom in Kauai. He checked in with us a couple days prior to our booking, helped us to decide on the best day for what we wanted to do/see alongside the forecasted weather. He took us on a great hike into the canyon - the scenery and the views were spectacular. His friendliness, professionalism and expertise made the tour one of a kind. Extra thoughtful touches included sharing bananas and coconuts from his garden and pulling over so we could grab some poke from a local stand on our drive back, despite already running overtime! Even though we are relatively experienced day-hikers, his local knowledge on where the best (and least crowded) trails/shortcuts/lookout points were is priceless. We would highly recommend Hike Kauai and look forward to coming back, next time for a full day experience. Thank you Tom!"

"This epic adventure is a dream come true, if you have ever wished you could hike to the waterfalls in the center of Kauai. I am 65 years old and made it because of Tom's expertise, safety and patience. He knows this place well. I loved his knowledge of the flowers and trees. He took great photos of us, and we felt so comfortable with him. He was so fun and simply the best for this adventure. This is a special place. It is a difficult hike with slippery wet boulders and many river crossings. Don't attempt this hike without hiking experience and be in shape!"

"Amazing experience 11/10! If you come to Kauai you must explore this beautiful island and what better way to do it than with a guide that knows the best spots to hike. Tom guided me on a hike to the blue hole or weeping walls for a memory I’ll never forget. He knew every waterfall, path, even rock to place your foot for safety. This was not an easy hike at all (8 miles in and out over rock, branches and through streams) and shows his experience. No matter where you plan to be guided on this island, Tom and is guides are the way to go! He also took some amazing pictures, highly recommended! Thank you hike Kauai!"

"Hiking with Tom was such a great experience! Tom has a very calm and patient demeanor, and this was great for us as we are not as experienced with hiking these type of trails. Tom spoke out loud his actions and guided us through how to get through some of the tricky spots. He was impressive with talking us through the hike, he was also quite observant and even found a hidden green frog that he was able to bring out and show us. Tom is very experienced with the trails as he was even able to tell us stories of how the trail has changed throughout the years, and also what nature has done in the past to the trail. I highly recommend booking a hike with Tom in Kauai! He is even experienced with taking folks on the very difficult hike of the Weeping Wall. At least when I was searching previously, not many guides are willing to bring folks there with the trail difficulty. I do believe this just shows how experienced and confident Tom is with his technique and guiding skill set! You don’t be disappointed!"

"Tom took us on a long and fruitful adventure hiking through a couple beautiful spots in Kauai. He was incredibly informative, kind, and helpful and offered lots of fun facts about the area and wildlife surrounding us. He took lots of pictures and videos of me and my family and encouraged me and my brothers to do an exhilarating jump into the ocean off of a cliff! Beyond our hiking trip, he also gave us advice and recommendations on other cool places on the island to check out or get good food. He even lent me a paddle because I was unable to fit one in my suitcase to go paddleboarding :) Highly recommend getting your guided hikes through this service!"
