"New edit: 3/5 Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!!! So happy to be finally done with the place. I didn’t realize how a terrible living environment, like the verge, could affect me so much. I am so happy to be out of this place. Avoid at ALL costs. 0 communication, 0 accountability, 0 integrity, -5 overall. I am editing this as of 12/29. Still the worst apartments to ever exist. Every single interaction with management confirms that statement. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with the management team. If I could give this apartment complex a -5 I would. They provided us 2 new lease agreements both with a different signing amount. So SHADY. If you wish to live a healthy happy life don’t live hear. It’s an absolute joke. Another joke is that they say no smoking on complex grounds including vapes but the leasing manager literally has a vape on her desk. Also multiple maintenance workers have brought vapes into our apartment. I feel taken advantage of. See photos below. literally the worst apartment complex I have lived at by far. You will be ignored and taken advantage of. Upon move in, the apartment did not appear clean or sanitary. Thick layer of dust on everything. Range Hood vent was disgusting upon move in. There was pee crust on the bathroom toilet - absolutely foul. The baseboards were disgusting as well. The management did nothing about it. Upon move in there were numerous evidences of leaks by bubbled ceilings and streaks on the wall from water dripping. We have been dealing with a leak in the kitchen since the day we moved in, mid-January of 2023. It is mid April and the leak is still not fixed!!! This leak has prevented us the full use of our kitchen. At one point, the kitchen leak was spewing a jar of water a day on to our counter tops from the neighbors above. We have also had a leak from our kitchen and bathroom sinks. Those have both been since fixed but only because we had to personal go into the office and make a complaint after filing multiple claims on our resident portal that were ignored. I feel taken advantage of. Literally any other choice is better than the verge."
"From day 1, Verge has been horrible. I was given an incredibly dirty apartment. The washing machine leaked, the dryer didn't work. The bathroom sink and shower drains were clogged. Not all the kitchen cabinet doors were fastened and one fell off during move in. We fixed it ourselves. Getting things fixed takes multiple emails to management. The carpet is so bad in the bedrooms that simple vacuuming sucks up tons of carpet fiber and it's getting thread bare in spots I was lied to about 24-7 access to the mail hub where my insulin is shipped by two leasing agents, who claimed that Verge never offered 24-7 access. The manager admitted that wasn't true (Devin at the time) and finally gave me a keyfob. I was lied to about how high the charges for water, sewage and garbage. And we have to pay a fee to a 3rd party vendor that handles those charges. Fireplace smoke seeps into my apartment when my neighbor's use their fireplace. I can go on. I won't. My lease is up May 26, 2024. I can't wait to leave."
"They over charge for rent. It took them almost 4 months to fix my closet, but would send daily email about the $8 dollars I owed. When I asked them to clean my carpet they suggested that when my lease was up to apply for a new apartment instead. Mind you i have lived in these apartments for 10 years, and my apartment is not updated. If I wanted updated I would have to pay $300 more a month."
"WORST PLACE TO LIVE. WOULD HAVE RATHER STAYED IN MY APT ON 3RD STREET!!! Upon move in we were promised several false promises , including working n amenities (the hot tub has not worked since I moved in 2 years ago and no it will not be “fixed soon”. Which is sad because I had a major knee surgery while living here and needed a hot tub to soak it in) a fireplace in our apartment, which after signing the lease we discovered this was false, and a clean apartment upon move in! A month after we moved in our dryer broke, which quickly resulted in it taking 3-4 loads to dry 1 load! I put in a service request and no response. After 2 weeks I called more frequently and soon I found myself calling everyday for 4 months!!! After 4 months someone finally looked at my dryer and said nothing was wrong. After another month of calling up to 3 times a day, my dryer was replaced with the one in the unit next door! So the people who moved in shortly after got a faulty dryer. The office also refused to reimburse us for the cost of running our dryer for 4 loads to dry 1 load for 4 months. We are young college kids and the office clearly took advantage of that , which is sad. And upon move out they delayed the process by proving the wrong address for my new place when requested?!? How do you put in your own address wrong??? We tried to move units and asked for a specific modification on where the apartment was located and was told “we do not have time to look for that” The stairs are not up to code and the required length and have literally crumbled beneath my boyfriend and I, causing us to trip and fall down the stairs (no injuries) - however I just had a major surgery a few months prior and could have seriously reinjured myself. And no maintenance ever came to fix the stairs. Sexiest maintenance as well, shooing me away and telling my bf to look at an issue instead of me , even tho I had more experience with this particular issue. Rent is raised every time you resign the lease by hundreds of dollars. Not worth living here!"
"I’ve lived here for 2 years and will be describing how unprofessional this apartment complex is. When I first moved in I was without AC and hot water for 7 days. I had put in a service request and was calling each day after and each time they kept saying “this is an emergency request we will send someone right over.” They did that to me for 7 days. Then my fridge broke down 3 times throughout the two years and each time hundreds of dollars worth of groceries from Costco went bad, they would sent maintenance to come fix my fridge the day after I reported it. The maintenance technician had told me the first time that my fridge would break down again and he said he would report that to the office to get me a new one. This didn’t happen until the third time, they wasted my groceries three times. When I asked them if they would be refunding me for all of my perished goods they stated they only had to comp repair fees. Lastly this whole week I had been asking for the link to link my apartment to the online portal so I could pay my rent due to being out of town. I got back in town yesterday and when I never received a link I went to pick up a money order for the balance. I go to hand it in today and they won’t accept it because overnight while their office was closed they hit me with a 75 dollar late fee. I do not recommend renting here, customer service is unreliable."
