"Mahalo to all the volunteers, interns, directors and founders for taking care of these special needs pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, cows, and even cats! Informative and enriching experience during our volunteer project day. They have so many projects! Can’t wait to come back."
"Super great place for animal lovers :) Very informative, and kind, loving animals. The tour guide was the sweetest, and everyone else we talked to was super nice too. Well worth the drive from Kona, and the entry fee (as they are volunteer ran, and donations/the money go to good use). Will be back for sure!! :)"
"My wife and I had a great time visiting with these truly magical creatures. I enjoyed learning all their back stories and how each animal has has their own personality. This place definitely deserves an add to your itinerary if you’re an animal lover. Plus the views from the farm are amazing."
"An absolutely incredible nonprofit supported by the most fiercely caring and committed volunteers I’ve ever met. I signed up for a Sunday morning tour and Ray, a Director of Education and Outreach, introduced me to the layout and history of the sanctuary, the animals and their individual stories, exciting upcoming additions to their program, and some hardworking volunteers. I started working part time in Hawaii this year and this has been by far the most meaningful and memorable experience I’ve had on the islands. Thank you to the entire team at MCoH! Can’t wait to be back."
"This tour is a must for animal lovers! We stayed in Waimea and drove over an hour to get there and it was totally worth the drive! The owner communicated with us everything we needed to know to get there including nearby gas and bathrooms. The tour was given by one of the girls living there. She was so sweet and knowledgeable! We got to scratch the pigs with back scratchers, and hold the baby goat! We also went inside the nursery where the babies were kept separate from the adults. We pet the adults too. Vincent was my favorite! He greeted us at the car and joined us for half of the tour. The animals are treated really well and I’m so thankful they are able to save so many animals in need. Please visit and support them. It’s not only an amazing experience, but you’re also supporting a great cause and helping them save all these animals."
