"We had an awesome appointment with Dr Malia Thompson. Myself and mother was there to help with my older brother's memory. I think it was an awesome turn out. She is friendly Doctor and we were her last appointment of the day. I like that she explained the she is not the one who decides the rating and it is the VA decision. The VA contracts her to perform the evaluation. Please note that she (Dr. Malia Thompson) does not know what are the VA's deciding factors that will increase or decrease the SM's rating. I think being her last appointment of the day gave us a little more time on helping my older brother jog his memory. Dr. Thompson is actually slotted for an hour, so we are really grateful for doing a thorough evaluation on my older brother. I highly recommend to have a notebook with time lines of events so to help with a more speedy appointment if you are having a tight schedule that day and a list of your VA prescribed medications. Evaluation started with place of birth, family history growing up, events during high school, after high school, before college, after college, events before military service, events after military service and current events. Hope you have an awesome appointment with Dr. Thompson."
