"To say the hike there is gnarly would be an understatement. This trail is very poorly maintained with overgrown plants. It is very easy to get lost on this trail so you definitely need a satellite GPS. The first 4 miles are hiking down on potentially slippery mud and on ridges. Do this hike with a friend I'm case you slip or fall. The views at the end are definitely worth the struggle though. Just wish this trail was better maintained"

"Awaawapuhi trail was the best hike we did during our visit. 6 miles round trip. Stunning views and narrow ridge at the end. Down and then up hike. Well markes trail with mile markers."
"The Napali Kona Forest Reserve is a place of wonder and beauty. I truly wish my wife and I could have spent more time there. Plenty of hiking trails, picnic areas, campsites, you name it. You could spend weeks here and not see it all. I will post some pictures of both the coast side of Napali and the interior part as well. Take some time and visit."
