"I love UH, however I was recently dropped from Czarski’s class after completing assignments up to week 3, simply because I missed an assignment in the first week. I do not place blame on administration, as my professor submitted the request. However, I believe that it is unfair to have been dropped so late when my professor could have requested that I be unenrolled during week 1, or at least informed me not to continue doing assignments. Be mindful of the classes you take, and do your research on who will be leading your learning!"
"I had a wonderful experience here; I loved the intimate and personal class size/student-to-professor ratio, which allowed for better, more in-depth learning. Also, I had a smooth experience transferring from my junior college in California to here, and had a lot of faculty help along the way; the college is very organized (answering phones most of the time I call, getting new students set up w/financial aid, etc.). The only thing was that, sometimes, it was hard to get in touch with a few professors, but once I did, they were very accommodating and memorable. I also made friends from my TESOL teaching certification program…I miss it so much sometimes; I may go to grad school here! :)"
"It is very anti democratic when it comes to having students a voice on this campus... they don't have a student union... only one that is controlled by the administration... Most of the administration is helpful on getting you in the door but once you have a grievance beware the gossip fest and lateral violence through exclusion. There are some great teachers here but there is one who hates men in the political science department and will do what it takes to give you the lowest grade possible if she does not like you.... beware of the karen!!!"
"As a solo backpacker, I found a spot on the campus wich i could just lie down on the floor and sleep without getting disturbed!"
"1.EXTREME LACK of PROFESSIONALISM (ex. JACKIE SALES-IYO) 2. Math Department, FYI - smart people don't always make good teachers, 3. If SUM OF the SO CALLED school staff (COUNSELORS & DPT. HEADS INCLUDED) would stop GOSSIPING & LUSTING after the students MAYBE IT WOULD BE A DECENT SCHOOL, INSTEAD OF A SHALLOW TOURIST SCHOOL. 4.Good teachers don't last there because the "BACK STABBING IMMATURE" STAFFERS TARGET the GOOD TEACHERS making their experience not worth TOLERATING."
