"First time here, there is disabled parking in front but stairs inside although when we left we went straight out the exit door on ground level so I'm sure you could go in that door to access seating. Two handicap stalls in bathroom but no coat/ purse hook.. I post so others with disabilities are aware prior to encountering these things.. Sad there was nothing for purchase following our play..but, happy to be back to live.performance.. All in all great time"
"The world of Kabuki was excellently explained in English and performed here at the Kennedy Theater. Very impressive and inspiring performance!!! Since stage setting plays an important role for Kabuki, this theatre did a great job to host Kabuki in Hawaii 2019. Only dissatisfaction was a limited parking space. Max hours of parking (3hrs=$12)were a little short to watch Kabuki. It will be very difficult to find a parking space if you come to the parking at the last minutes."
"It was a fantastic evening watching wonderful performance by UH Asian Theater Dept."
"Saw performance on 7/20/18. Children on stage did a great job, but the sound system was terrible. They played the music accompaniment too loud. So loud that it drowned out the sounds of the children singing. Funny that the directors didn't check on that during rehearsals."
"Always a pleasure to see the often quality performances in this nicely scaled space. Good acoustics lighting and HVAC system. Comfortable seating and handicapped parking, as well as ground level entrance around the corner from the restrooms, avoid the stairs makai and mauka necessary for most patrons. Come early or stay late and enjoy the Japanese tea garden in back of Jefferson Hall. There are no unfriendly ghosts there. Parking is a bit hit and miss"
