About the Business
Samaritan Counseling Center Hawaii is a professional behavioral health counseling institution located at 1020 South Beretania Street in Honolulu, Hawaii. Our mission is to provide accessible counseling services that are sensitive to the spiritual traditions of individuals, families, and communities in Hawaii, regardless of their ability to pay. We offer mental health counseling for individuals, couples, and families both in-person on O’ahu and through telehealth.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our clients and counselors. Our goal is to help individuals coping with anxiety, stress, and relationship conflicts, providing support during life's transitions.
We recently hosted our First Annual “Drive Fore Mental Health” Golf Tournament to raise funds for mental health services in Hawaii. Your donations help make professional mental health care accessible to uninsured, under-insured, elderly, and low-income clients in our community.

"Saw a therapist here for over 2 years. She was alright a nice lady but she tends to say the same things over and would forget a lot about what I told her in previous sessions or mishear what I said completely. This year she got more busy with her work so she would forget about our scheduled sessions sometimes. Last time I saw her she wasn’t really giving good advice almost felt a little passive aggressive. Also think since she is an older lady it’s hard for her to relate to the younger generation like myself. I have some medical conditions I have been dealing with for few years now and she would medical gaslight me often since she just doesn’t understand what I deal with and the symptoms that’s go with it. Over the past few sessions I saw her I was feeling like I needed to find a new therapist since I wasn’t finding her as helpful as before. We had a session schedule in 2 weeks but she never got back to me. She either forgot or she didn’t wanna see me again. Has been 6 months since this happened as well.. if she forgot I don’t understand how she forgot for 6 months."
