"Kumon method works for some kids but not all. Their philosophy is just repetition. Had I known the full scope of their methods, I would have not signed up. I was expecting more 1 on 1 tutoring & mentoring. But they just hand out booklets of math & reading of the same thing over and over until you master it. They don't teach math or reading techniques. They also give the kids the booklets as homework and a lot of them. Kids don't have time to be kids especially if school is in session & having to do Kumon homework. And they are strict with their contracts, they don't let you out of it. Which I understand the purpose of contracts, but come on. Especially in today's date & time (everyone is experiencing some hardships w/ the pandemic). I've had experiences with other centers of various topics (i.e. coding centers, karate dojos, etc.) and they understand & can relate to people's different circumstances and are willing to work with them. Hence the 1 star review. Actually, I'm not sure why I'm even giving 1 star... So beware if you are considering signing up your child with Kumon."

"The owner David won't respond to my emails or calls about canceling our membership. I've reached out since August about needing to cancel due to having to move across town and he has continued to charge me the past three months even though my children have not gone at all. This is horrible customer service and business."
