"Awesome service! My first time in Hawaii. We chose Lahaina in Maui based on the proximity of dive sites. I visited two shops on day 1. You know how some shops exude a welcoming atmosphere? That is what the owner, Jamie, has. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. My wife needed a refresher after a long surface interval. Jamie offered a seat on a refresher course running the next day or the option of private diving with Stephen, one her instructors. Picture an Island raised, fit, sun loving guy with a killer smile and a gift for teaching. That's Stephen. He provided the needed guidance and coaching along with advice and knowledge of the local scenes. The refresh dive met all the objectives and we spotted a bunch of creatures. Dive 2 was at Mala Pier where the buoyancy drills were reinforced while we spotted white tip sharks, frog fish, eels, and more turtles than I could count. Several people greeted Stephen at both sites. One dude recognized him under water and had to give him a hug! Either he's a celebrity in Maui or we witnessed an insider aspect of island culture. Anyhow, we had fun and signed up for more diving. This is a full service shop with rental gear, new equipment, repair services, courses and excursions. Prices are on par with the other local shops and they have a deal for renting 10 tanks. Unlike some shops in Lahaina, parking is free and right next to the shop. There's a tasty taco stand next door and a brewery 20 steps away where you can bring your taco to accompany your beer! Needless to say, I recommend Maui Diving ;)"
"My friend and I had the BEST time diving with Ashley at Mala Pier, Honolua Bay, and the 5 Caves! Ashley made sure we were safe, our gear was comfortable, and made sure to point out all the cool wildlife! We felt very safe diving with Ashley and she made sure all of her divers were accounted for during the dives, and checked on us frequently during the dives (I had some ear problems from diving two days in a row). The booking experience was very easy. They called to make sure I was certified and were very considerate to call during awake hours in Texas (TX is 5hrs behind Maui time). They had all of our gear ready to go when we got to the shop for our dives as well. 10/10 will dive with this dive shop when I come back to Maui again."
"We did 8 total dives with Maui Diving and enjoyed every one. From the friendly and helpful staff in the shop (shout out to Antonio) to the check-in and get your gear process, to the actual dives, everything was smooth and easy - just what you want when you’re on vacation! We dove with Yancy for 4 of the dives and Micah for the other 4. Both were professional, knowledgeable, and made the dives enjoyable for both the newbie-divers and seasoned pros. highly recommend a day (or 4) with Maui Diving, you’ll enjoy every moment."
"This dive shop makes things right. Mistakes are going to happen with any business, and we ran in to a few hiccups along the way with our dives (which were absolutely amazing!) But the folks at Maui diving took great care of us and made things right. Our two dive masters (Sarah and Yancy) were fantastic and put us on some great dives, were friendly, and easy to talk to. But even the folks at the shop were amazing. They were friendly and helpful in getting the miscommunication corrected. Would highly recommend. When we bring our kids to dive in Maui, we will use them again."
"I completed by Reactivate course at Maui Diving, after not diving for 5 years. I spent one evening doing the Padi online work, then completed two dives the next day with my dive instructor, Deborah. She was great! Took awesome photos, explained everything super thoroughly, and any questions I had, was quick to have an answer. After spending one dive going over the important techniques to get back into diving, the second was just a great recreational dive! Octopus, tons of turtles, and a shark. Mala Wharf is definitely a top spot on Maui. Not to mention the great food recommendations from Deborah! Overall a great experience and highly recommend Deborah as a dive instructor!"
