"I am a registered nurse and this was my 2nd experience where i was treated badly. This time I had strep throat they told me every test was negative but i do not think they ran my test properly. I could barely talk i was in pain and they wouldn't give me antibiotics. I had clear red tonsils with white patches. I had to ask them to run more test because i had a fever and they still discharged me. I had to go to my place of work to get help. Missed work for days all because they did not believe me. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. The last time i had hives all over my body and they wouldn't give me an IV they gave me oral medicine. Knowing that i was in anaphylaxis. I had to go all the way to centennial hills to get the help i NEEDED. and as soon as i got there they immediately pulled me back to the ER. I also asked them for a blanket they ignored me. So i left because i know i wasn't getting the care i needed. They say they take their values up like California but they clearly don't in Nevada."
"I’ve honestly never been treated this rude at a hospital EVER. The doctor was more upset that I chose to take my own child to umc rather than the ambulance and stated if I took her I was putting her life in my hands. She’s my kid and I brought her who else’s hands would her life be in?! Then they repeatedly told me to make sure to go straight to the next hospital as if we were going rollerblading down the strip first. I absolutely do not appreciate the way I was spoke to and had I not been as stressed over my child as I was they would have known. The doctor called metro for the situation in which the cops got a good laugh at my child being what they said “very high”. I live across the street and I will drive anywhere else before ever setting foot in this hospital again. Umc is not in the best neighborhood at all but they have shown more compassion in the last hour than the entire visit here. NEVER AGAIN! They also put on her paper work that we left against their advice which doesn’t sit right with me. It implies I didn’t care enough about my child to stay instead of just putting parent chose to transport."
"I went to southern hills yesterday and they were terrible and were not helpful at all. I went to Saint Rose today and they were super nice and very helpful. They diagnosed me correctly and quickly. If I ever have an emergency you know damn well I’m coming back to Saint Rose."
"I would choose no stars if I could. I’m not sure what’s happening with this er but they’ve become more concerned with the treat and street method of care than compassionate, patient centered care. Dr. Chan fails completely as a representative of this hospital. He’s the type of Dr that shouldn’t be near patients and would be better suited to a research lab than at a bedside. If this one pulls back the curtain, you’re better off refusing care and asking for anyone else! It’s a shame because this truly once was the best hospital in the valley. Now, everything this hospital was originally founded upon has been lost to a business mentality. In its current state this er should be shut down!"
"I would give them negative stars if I could! My longtime friend had taken themselves to this ER in the early morning with chest pain due to known medical issues and pleurisy. Instead of being admitted/monitored until test results from relevant scans came back, they were given a dose of morphine and were released while still extremely drowsy and not only a danger to themselves and others! The test results hadn't even been looked at by the admitting doctor Lo, Joseph DO before they were discharged! They ended up sitting in a parking lot for over 5 hours, waiting to be safe to drive! The level of incompetence is shocking to say the least. It is gross negligence, pure and simple. Do not go to this hospital or ER!!"
