"Wow, oh wow. My husband and I found this amazing lodging by slowly scrolling through Google maps a few years ago. We finally got to stay here, and it absolutely lived up to what we built it up to in our heads! The rooms have every last detail thought of. The 1st time driving down is a bit daunting, but then you realize it's really not. You're just feeling a little lost the 1st time (there is TONS of signage directing you- it's my brain feeling lost, not the inn's fault!). We stayed in the Koa room with front row seats to the banyan tree & thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds. The owner, Lorna, is so hospitable and a wealth of recommendations depending on what you want to do. We hope to stay again next winter but for more days!"
"My husband and I stayed at the Kauai Banyan Inn for 5 nights. We loved the Koa suite. It was comfortable and peaceful. Lorna provided us with lots of snacks and everything we needed (beach chairs, towels, laundry, etc) for a great stay. Our favorite parts were waking up to the sounds of rainforest and sitting on the porch drinking coffee and reading. The location was good to explore all parts of the island. Thank you for your hospitality, we would happily stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Kauai!"
"Finally getting around to leaving a review of Kauai Banyan Inn. We had an amazing stay here in 2021. I think we were some of the first guests to return to the inn after the lockdown was lifted. We had an absolutely lovely stay. Our hosts were so kind, the views are beautiful. You are tucked away off the beaten path, which was nice- to feel a bit away from the main tourist crowds- if that's the feeling you are going for. Would be a great place for extended family to book separate suites and be near each other but not right on top of each other. I couldn't recommend more highly, and we hope to return in the future!"
"My husband and I stayed at the Banyan Inn for four days and spent the last few nights on the other side of the island. We genuinely felt ‘homesick’ after leaving this incredible place! We personally loved the food, people and views on the south shore. The North shore would have been good as a day trip and to visit Haena State Park (reservation required). The best part of our stay at Kauai Banyan Inn was escaping from the crowds to Ulu. The views far exceeded our expectations and it was very quiet. The room was clean and fully stocked with anything we needed, the owners are kind and accommodating. It is the most serene place I’ve ever stayed at. We will definitely be returning!"
"We cannot say enough about the Kauai Banyan Inn. The room was spacious and beautiful. The deck was even more spacious, with gorgeous views. I don't think we've ever stayed in a place where we've literally wanted for nothing. Kitchen supplies (microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, toaster and even a blender), beach supplies, bathroom supplies, deck supplies, grilling supplies, etc. There were even trekking poles to borrow. Sunrises were spectacular and we watched it every morning from the deck. Frequent, but very quick, showers produced multiple rainbows throughout our stay. Best of all, the Inn comes with gracious hosts who offer accommodations that are far away from the hotels and tourist spots. Good location for exploring the island and also for a quiet day at "home." Thank you Lorna and John!"
